COVID-19 Announcements and Guidelines
If families have concerns about Suzuki lessons or groups please discuss these with the Suzuki Program Coordinator, Leslie Beers.
Other questions should be directed to TMA Director, Jennene Lundy.
In order to keep everyone healthy and safe, while providing appropriate instruction for each student, The Music Academy will allow in-person as well as virtual lessons for the Fall Semester.
Each teacher and student/family must be comfortable using the facility for in-person lessons. No one will be required to participate in in-person lessons; this is only one option.
May also be in-person but this decision will be left to the teachers and families.
Early Childhood Classes
Classes will either be offered on Zoom or in an outdoor space.
ALL classes will meet for 30 minutes, with supplemental online activities throughout the week.
Makeup classes will be available via Zoom, or class recordings.
Minimum class sizes must be met for Zoom classes to run on any given day. You may be asked to move to another class, if registration is low.
Outdoor class will have a maximum of 6 families, and may be combined with Zoom classes when outdoor classes are no longer able to meet.
Outdoor classes will be held in Miss Betha’s backyard or with Miss Rene at Ambleside Park, Port Matilda. For class locations, please see the registration form. Students/families should bring a beach towel or blanket to sit on. All participants over age 24 months must wear a mask. Families will be positioned at least 6 feet apart.
Outdoor classes may be held on Zoom due to weather or COVID concerns. Weather cancellations will be posted at least 1 hour before class.
