COVID-19 Announcements and Guidelines

Guidelines for the use of TMA Facilities - 

MARCH  2022 UPDATE:  Beginning immediately, for in-person lessons masking will be optional.... We are leaving it up to individual teachers and their students/families.  Please note, however, if there is a concern on the part of the student/family, we are asking teachers to honor the concern and wear a mask during the lesson.  For wind and voice instruction, lessons may now occur in person, but please honor the comfort level and wishes of the students/families and teachers.

Private Lessons

• In order to keep everyone healthy and safe, while providing appropriate instruction for each student, The Music Academy will allow in-person as well as virtual lessons. 

• Each teacher and student/family must be comfortable using the facility for in-person lessons.  No one will be required to participate in in-person lessons; this is only one option. 

Suzuki Groups

• May also be in-person but this decision will be left to the teachers and families. 

Early Childhood Classes

• Classes will either be offered indoors at The Music Academy.

• Minimum class sizes must be met for classes to run on any given day. You may be asked to move to another class, if registration is low.

• Outdoor class will have a maximum of 6 families, and will move indoors or onto Zoom when outdoor classes are no longer able to meet due to weather or COVID concerns.

• Outdoor classes will be held in Miss Betha’s partially-fenced backyard.   Students/families should bring a beach towel or blanket to sit on. All participants over age 24 months must wear a mask. Families will be positioned at least 6 feet apart.
