Dance Dress Code: 2011-2012

Ballet for Girls
School uniforms are required for all children except the three year-old classes.  School uniforms, tights, and shoes will all be ordered according to Music Academy requirements.  Details will be available in August from your instructors and online.  No jewelry (with the exception of simple post earrings) or hair decorations should be worn.

Girls are required to arrive with hair secured in a ballet bun or with hair secured away from the face with clips (and/or a head band) if the hair is too short for a bun.

Boys’ Dance and Drama Club:   T-shirts and shorts may be worn for the summer session.  T-shirts and shorts or leggings may be worn for the Fall session.  No school uniform is required for this activity.

Ballet for Boys:  T-shirts and shorts may be worn for the summer session.  Details for school uniforms (Fall classes) will be available in August from your instructors and online.

Jazz/modern for Girls:  leotards and leggings with split-sole jazz shoes for the summer.  Details for school uniforms (Fall classes) will be available in August from your instructors and online. 

Jazz/modern for Boys:  T-shirts and leggings may be worn for the summer with split-sole jazz shoes.  Details for school uniforms (Fall classes) will be available in August from your instructors and online.

Ballet for Teen/Adult classes:  Summer and Fall
There are no special requirements for Adults.  Teens will follow the guidelines listed above for girls or boys.

Pointe:  Admission to pointe classes is by teacher recommendation only.  Teacher supervision is required when purchasing pointe shoes.
